Elevator Internet of Things pilot project started
“Now, the number of elevators in use in Changzhou has already exceeded 50,000, and it has been growing at a rate of more than 10% every year. However, there are relatively few professional maintenance personnel. One maintenance personnel is responsible for at least 50 elevators per month, and the maintenance personnel are overloaded. The status quo is ubiquitous.” Zhou Changxin, general manager of Changzhou Special Equipment Industrial Park, said that the pressure on elevator safety supervision is increasing, and it is urgent to adopt advanced technologies to improve the safety performance and management of special equipment.
On March 1 this year, the "Changzhou Elevator Safety Management Regulations" was formally implemented. The construction units are encouraged to select the elevators with monitoring function as their priority, and an elevator emergency response service platform is required. Therefore, the Changzhou Elevator IoT safe operation pilot project was started at a proper time.
It is understood that elevator internet of things is a concept proposed to solve the current elevator safety problem. The data acquisition part, data transmission part, central processing part and application software together constitute a complete elevator IoT monitoring system. The collection instrument collects the elevator operation data for analysis and uploads it to the Internet monitoring center, which combines the platform application software, thereby realizing the effective supervision and maintenance of the elevators in real time by all relevant units.
Effectively solve elevator maintenance "pain point"
Wang Jianxin, chairman of the Changzhou Special Equipment Industrial Park, said that although the current elevators have professional teams hired by the property company to carry out maintenance, the property itself lacks professionals and can not effectively supervise the quality of maintenance and the safe operation of the elevator is not effectively guaranteed. When passengers are trapped in elevators, they are often asked for help by property maintenance companies. The maintenance company then informs maintenance personnel and maintenance personnel to make on-site rescues. This type of traditional emergency rescue often takes one hour or more. The quality of elevator maintenance is difficult to guarantee, and the efficiency of rescue after an accident is low, which is the common “pain point” in the elevator maintenance industry.
After the elevator IoT safe operation project is started, the “pain point” problem can be solved. The elevator property company can assess the maintenance of the maintenance company through the use of the system, use the data to judge the maintenance quality, and reduce the occurrence of elevator accidents. In the event of an elevator accident, the maintenance company can also use the system to arrive at the scene to eliminate the fault.
“The maintenance of elevators is more standardized, maintenance of workers' maintenance and end-of-maintenance workers have to be swiped, can effectively supervise maintenance work, and when elevators need maintenance, the system will give early warning one month in advance. The elevator is equipped with a one-button alarm. The center dispatched professionals nearby, said Wang Jianxin.
A plan to install more than 2,000 units
In 2018, the first phase of the elevator Internet of Things construction project will be fully promoted in the Zhonglou District. The planned number of installations will be 2,000 or more. Starting from the end of March, it will be the first to be implemented in the Qingfeng Mansion and the Jindi Holiday Village, and 200 installation plans will be gradually advanced each month. At the same time, in Wujin District, Xinbei District and Tianning District, some key public places and communities were selected for pilot promotion.
It is understood that the elevator Internet of Things information collection terminal is mainly installed in public places such as hotels, hospitals, schools, stations, terminals, office buildings, administrative agencies and other places with high risk, high failure rate, and dense personnel, to protect the public Field elevators use safety. The first phase of the project provides a strong guarantee for the selection of the optimal operation mode for the city's construction of elevator internet of things projects.
After the completion of the first phase of the project, the elevator IoT project will continue to be implemented in accordance with the requirements of the Changzhou Municipal Government and the relevant elevator management departments of the city. The system-wide coverage and implementation progress are agreed upon by both parties, and efforts will be made to achieve citywide coverage within three years.
