Theoretical delivery capacity. Refers to the theoretical delivery per hour. Theoretical delivery capacity (c, person / h) is calculated as c = 3600vk / 0.4.

Where v is the rated speed (m / s); k is the width coefficient (1.0 for rung width 0.6 m; 1.5 for 0.8 m and 2.0 for 1.0 m).

Such as: width of 600mm, the speed of 0.5m / s, per hour delivery capacity: C = 3600X1.0X0.5 / 0.4 = 4500 people / h

The rated speed is the speed at which the design is determined and actually run. The rated speed shall not exceed 0.75m / s when the escalator inclination angle is not more than 30 °, and the rated speed shall not exceed 0.50m / s when the inclination angle is greater than 30 ° and not more than 35 °.

When the lifting height does not exceed 6m, the rated speed does not exceed 0.50m / s, the tilt angle allowed to increase to 35 °.

The angle of inclination of the travelator should not exceed 12 °.

Moving walkways: The rated speed shall not exceed 0.75m / s. When the treadle width does not exceed 1.1m, the maximum rated speed is allowed to reach 0.9m / s.

Set provisions for escalator moving sidewalks

Escalators, moving walkways should meet the following requirements:

Escalators and moving walkways shall not count as safe exit.

The width of the unobstructed entrance and exit should not be less than 2.50m, and the width of the unobstructed area should be enlarged when there is a dense stream of people passing through it.

Fence should be smooth, smooth and no projections; the top of the escalator handrail from the front edge of the moving sidewalk or tape surface of the vertical height of not less than 0.90m;

Handrail outside to any obstacle should not be less than 0.50m, otherwise measures should be taken to prevent obstacles causing human injury;

The distance between the centerline of the handrail and the edge of the parallel wall or the floor opening shall not be less than 0.50m from the centerline of the handrail between two ladders when adjacent to each other. Otherwise, measures should be taken to prevent obstacles caused by personnel hurt;

Escalator cascade, automatic sidewalk pedals or tape over the vertical height should not be less than 2.30m;

The inclination angle of escalator should not exceed 30 °. When the lifting height does not exceed 6m and the rated speed does not exceed 0.50m / s, the inclination angle is allowed to increase to 35 °. The inclination of inclined moving walkway should not exceed 12 °.

Set provisions for escalator moving sidewalks

When the escalator and the moving walkway connected with each other are unidirectionally arranged, the matching stairs should be arranged nearby;

Set the escalator or moving sidewalk formed by the upper and lower through-space, fire protection norms should be consistent with the provisions of the fire district and other requirements.

Technical requirements for civil construction of escalators and moving walkways

The width of each escalator or moving walkway shall be greater than the width of the escalator or moving walkway. The net depth of the entrance and exit shall be more than 2.5m. When the width of the passageway is more than twice the width of the escalator or moving walkway, The net depth of the channel can be reduced to 2m.

Import and export passageway escalators and moving walkways should not be less than the vertical height of 2.3m.

Escalators or moving walkways for the import and export of access must be provided with protective railings or fenders, the height of ≥ 1300m, and can prevent children from climbing.

The distance between the center of the armrest and any part of the building structure or the escalator shall not be less than 500mm. Otherwise, a standard warning sign shall be provided at the crossing.

Escalators or moving walkways when the gap between each other is greater than 200mm, should be security fall arrest facilities.

When escalators or moving walkways are connected to the foundation of the building, waterproofing must be considered.

Escalators or moving sidewalk truss decoration must be non-porous fireproof material, the maximum weight per square foot decoration for 20kg.
