Elevator knowledge: Common 10 elevator door failures and solutions
Jun 27, 2018

For a safe elevator, ordinary passengers first feel the operation of the elevator door and the overall operation of the elevator. Normal and stable door operation can clearly show that the elevator is safe to ride, so the quality of the elevator door operation can fully reflect the installation of the elevator. Maintaining the technical strength and technical level of maintenance, improving the quality of door operation, and removing door running noise are important tasks in installation and maintenance work. Then, during the normal operation of the elevator, how can we judge whether the door operation status is stable? How to distinguish? Today, Xiao Bian brings you to use "hearing" to determine common door malfunctions.

    1. Jittering sound when hall door is running

Causes: 1 The door of the upper sill is stained with blocky dust formed by dust; 2 There are foreign objects in the sloping groove, such as decoration materials and household garbage.

Solution: Grind the door rails with fine sandpaper to remove dirt and scrub with kerosene, so that the door rails are clean and smooth. Remove foreign objects from the tank.

2 Collision sound when opening or closing the door

Reasons: 1 The inclination of the upper canopy is installed; 2 The deflection of the door guard plate is installed or the distance is too small; 3 The hall door or the side column is not attached anti-collision rubber.

Solution: Adjust the upper hurdle to be on the same midline with the ground cut, adjust the verticality and distance of the hall door as the boundary guard, and affix the bumper rubber on the hall door and side columns.

3 When the hall door is opened

Reasons: 1 Hall door hook lock is not horizontal; 2 the gap between the hook lock and the lock box is too small; 3 the gap between the car door opener knife and the hook lock wheel is too large; 4 the door opener starts to open the door too fast.

Solution: Adjust the level of the hook lock and the hook lock spring, adjust the clearance between the hook lock and the lock box, adjust the gap between the opening knife and the hook lock wheel to 4-6mm, reduce the speed of starting the door opening, and make the door opener Fully open the hook lock before speeding up.

4 When the door is closed

Reasons: 1 The clearance between the door opener knife and the hook lock wheel is too large, the hall door disengages the door knife prematurely; 2 the end speed of the door opening organ is too fast.

Solution: Adjust the gap between the door opener and the hook lock wheel and adjust the distance between the hook lock wheels so that the door opener can completely contain the hook lock wheel. Adjust the closing speed or torque.

5 When the door closes quickly

Reason: General hall door sub-doors are plug-in type, and the contact points produce noise when they contact.

Solution: Adjust the contacts to avoid friction between the contacts and their plastic case. Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly.

When the door of the 6th office opens, it makes a harsh noise

Cause: The side pillars of the gantry on the support hall door are deflected and they are rubbed against the fire edge of the hall door.

Solution: Adjust the side posts of the hall door so that it aligns with the edges of the sill and secure the bolts.

7 When you open the door, there is a "bang and bang" sound

Reasons: 1 Hall door friction moat or door fire door edge friction with the door sleeve; 2 door anti-collision rubber friction rubbing; 3 hall door wire rope is dead bend, the door rope running rope run friction friction lock box .

Solution: Adjust the gap between the hall door and the ridge, fasten the connecting bolts between the door bushing and the upper ban, lift the hall door bumper strip and fix it, and adjust or replace the hall door rope to make it no longer run.

8 When the door is opened or closed

Causes: 1 The damage of the door wheel of the door hanging plate or the damage of the door wheel bearing; The open welding operation of the 2 wheel shaft.

Solution: Replace the damaged door wheel, re-rivese or weld the door wheel shaft.

9 When the door is opened or closed, “beep, pop” or “click” sound

Causes: 1 The gap between the eccentric wheel of the hanging door and the door on the door is too small or too large; the friction of the cam of the door machine 2 sounds; the bearing of the 3-door motor is damaged.

Solution: Adjust the clearance between the eccentric and the upper cam to 0.2-0.5mm, coat the door cam with a little petrolatum, and replace the door motor.

10 Switch door emits "sand, sand" sound

Reasons: 1 Forced closing of the heavy hammer with the guide sleeve friction; 2 hanging weights of the steel rope head too long friction column noise.

Solution: Minimize the length of the guide sleeve, seal the weight with a thermoplastic tube to reduce friction, cut the length of the long steel wire rope, or wrap it with tape.
